Making friends in the world of joint ventures is very important, so I wanted to send a follow up to the last newsletter, which will explain the best way to go out about, contacting possible joint venture partners. Pay close attention, because the tips in today’s newsletter may make a world of difference between making a little money and making a lot of money.
What’s the proper way to contact someone? Any marketer out there, who really has the ability to help you, gets anywhere between 5 to 50 people emailing them daily asking for a JV deal.
************************************************** SO HOW DO YOU GET THEM TO PICK YOU? **************************************************
There are several ways of going about this, but all of those ways include you sending them an email introducing yourself, complementing their product and informing them that you would like to sell their product or you have a friend, which can sell their product.
Don’t even mention that you want them to sell for you, if you do; they are going to delete your email with all the rest. Your strategy is not to have them sell for you, but instead it’s to build a relationship. They will be motivated to build a relationship with you if you can do something for them.
Your email to this powerful marketer might look something like this:
“Hi Bob,
I just purchased your product and I was blown away. I am going to start reselling this product to my members, as I am sure most will be able to benefit the way I have. However, I also have another JV partner who has a very responsive list as well, I am sure his list would also take pleasure in purchasing your product.
If you would like me to contact him and send him a copy on your behalf, I would be happy to do that for you. I am quite certain he will also feel the same way as I did and endorse you as well.
If this is ok with you please let me know. Also, don’t worry about paying me any sort of brokering fee, that’s not why I am here. I just want to make sure, my list only gets quality products recommend to them, and my friend feels the same way about this list.”
Sending an email along these lines will get you through the door. There are several ways to rephrase your email. Just make sure that the message is clear that you want to help them and expect nothing in return.
From here, you can start building a relationship. Remember to stay in touch over the next couple of months by send emails to them about twice a month. You always want to make your emails business orientated, especially at first. As your relationship grows, you can mix in some personal topics.
Then in two or three months inform them that you have a new product coming out, send him a free copy to review and suggest to him that if he believes this product would be beneficial to his list. Then perhaps he could endorse you.
Now this is somewhat of a gamble. He could say no, thus if you don’t have a high quality product, do not try this. In addition, if your product is not satisfactory, then it will hurt the relationship you just spent two or three months building.
